12 Manis of Christmas: #5 — Red and Green Stones

Zoya Saran Wrap Mani with Channing and Giovanna

Polishes used: Zoya Channing and Zoya Giovanna

I am IN LOVE with this mani! Could it be my favorite one yet?! Haha, who am I kidding, I say that every time.

So I got the idea from Liesl Loves Pretty Things. She did a skittles plastic wrap mani with the polishes from the Zoya Satins collection. I DROOLED over the Channing/Giovanna pairing. I mean seriously, could they be any more perfect together? This mani looks like gorgeous exotic stone and the colors are perfect for Christmas!

I know plastic wrap manis are old news but for me, this was my first. I’m obviously quite pleased! For anyone who doesn’t know the technique, here’s how I did it: I applied two coats of Giovanna and waited for my nails to fully dry (this is key!). Then I painted on a coat of Channing and immediately took some balled up plastic wrap (prepared ahead of time) and dabbed it into the wet polish until I got the desire look (if your bottom coat isn’t fully dry, the entire thing will smudge and you’ll see bare nail in some spots). Clean up the mess around your nails, top everything with Seche Vite and voila! Check out this YouTube tutorial if you’re more of a visual person.
